Note on Costs to Operate a Business

It does not cost you anything to become an Amway Business Owner and be able to operate as a Retail Consultant.  Amway does not charge you anything for this, and nobody else is allowed to charge you anything to become an Amway Business Owner, either.

However, there are costs to operate an Amway Business.  You may incur telephone charges, charges from your Internet service provider to use the Internet to access Amway’s web pages, petrol or other transportation costs to visit your customers or attend training, and costs associated with retaining professionals such as accountants, if your business develops or obtaining a subscription to an Amway publication such as the Amagram magazine.  If you do not already have one, you may wish to purchase a computer to help you with your Amway Business, and you may purchase other office supplies.  You may even store products for sale to your customers (stock keeping), although with Amway’s delivery capabilities this will ordinarily not be necessary.
