People

People are our most valuable asset. Our business owes its success to our employees and to our Amway Business Owners, all of whom we support wholeheartedly by helping them live up to their full potential. For our Amway Business Owners we provide free training to build the skills necessary for a better future. Our business opportunity is open for everyone, all have the same chances and rights and we work together as fair and reliable partners.

Our employees enjoy a working environment in which we promote diversity, ensure high standards in health and safety and provide benefits and development opportunities and training. And because our philosophy extends beyond our company, our AMWAY One by One™ campaign seeks to make a difference in the lives of children in need. Between 2003 and 2013 this campaign has impacted 11 million children, raised £135 million in funds for children’s causes and generated 3.1 million volunteer hours.

 All European Amway markets, for example, support school children in South Africa by selling One by One mugs. The proceeds of the mugs help young students in South Africa, who have inadequate furniture in their schools. Additionally, classes are often held outdoors – it´s difficult for them to find a solid surface to write on. Together with the Archbishop Tutu 2015 Campaign©, Amway supports those schools with ergonomic lap desks, called Tutudesks©. Those desks lie on the students´ laps and enable them to learn anywhere. The desks are light, durable and child proof. The goal of the campaign is to equip 20 million African students with their own Tutudesk© by 2015.

Our life-enhancing products, expertise and opportunity will help change the world by addressing the health and wellbeing of people. We use these core competences of our power brands to tackle social issues (e.g. malnutrition or water pollution). And we promote entrepreneurship because we believe entrepreneurship is a gateway to new opportunities and individual empowerment.

We achieve sustaining performance by growing our business in a socially responsible way while continuously improving the environment around us. Amway believes that building understanding about the environment in which we live, and the positive contribution individuals and communities can make (for example by cleaning parks or reducing energy use), is the key to creating a sustainable future. By 2015 we want to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases, minimize waste and water consumption and increase the use of renewable energy sources.
